Ants of Connecticut and Rhode Island
This list is based on A Field Guide to the Ants of New England and discussion with Stefan Cover (2019). The list is mostly just discarding those species listed in the guide that are known to be found in more northern, boreal habitats. There are also a few species that are not mentioned in the book that have recently been collected, i.e., Brachyponera chinensis and Forelius pruinosus.
The keys provided in the New England ant guide (New England Ant Identification) can be used to identify all the species except for the two mentioned above.
