- Type-material: holotype worker, 38 paratype workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Australia: Queensland, Eungella Nat. Park (21/148), 50 mi. W Mackay, 2500 ft, 17.xii.1972 (B.B. Lowery); paratypes: 30 workers with same data, 2 workers Eungella Nat. Park, 8.i.1985 (R.M. Delaney & K.R. McDonald), 1 worker Eungella Nat. Park, Mt William (21/148), 1000 m., 14.xi.1976 (R.W. Taylor & T.A. Weir), 5 workers 13 km NE Eungella (21/148), 980 m., no. 9933 (P.S. Ward).
- Type-depositories: ANIC (holotype); ANIC, BMNH, MCZC, MHNG, QMBA (paratypes).
