- nesiotus. Cyphomyrmex nesiotus Snelling, R.R. & Longino, 1992: 485, figs. 7, 15, 27, 28 (w.q.m.) ECUADOR (Galapagos Is).
- Type-material: holotype worker, 8 paratype workers, 5 paratype queens, 1 paratype male.
- Type-locality: holotype Ecuador: Galapagos Is, Isabella I., Santo Tomas V. Sierra Negra, 1050 ft, 9.vi.1982, no. 147 (Y.D. Lubin); paratypes: 6 workers, 3 queens, 1 male with same data, 2 workers, 2 queens Galapagos Is., Isabella I. Sierra Negra, Los Tintos, 1100 ft, 10.vi.1982 (Y.D. Lubin).
- Type-depositories: LACM (holotype); LACM, MCZC, USNM (paratypes).
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 168; Herrera, Tocora, et al. 2024: 178.
- Distribution: Ecuador (Galapagos Is).
