- Type-material: holotype worker, 6 paratype workers, 2 paratype queens, 2 paratype males.
- Type-locality: holotype Brazil: Minas Gerais, Viçosa, 700 m., 12.ii.993, no.77 (A. Mayhé-Nunes); paratypes: 1 queen, 1 male with same data, 1 worker, 1 queen, 1 male with same data but no. 78, 5 workers Brazil: Santa Catarina (no collector’s name).
- Type-depositories: MZSP (holotype); MZSP, NHMW (paratypes).
- Distribution: Brazil.
