Species: | T. davidi |
Binomial name | |
Tetramorium davidi Forel, 1911 |
Pashaei Rad et al. (2018) found this species in Iran in a low rainfall forest.
Identification
A member of the Tetramorium semilaeve species complex in the Tetramorium caespitum species group. However, it was placed within the meridionale species group by Salata et al. (2024).
The description of Tetramorium flavocostatum resolves confusion related to historical records of Tetramorium davidi from Iran that, in our opinion, should be assigned to T. flavocostatum (Alipanah et al., 1995; Modarres Awal, 1997, 2012; Ghahari & Collingwood, 2013; Moradloo et al., 2015; Torabi et al., 2017; Pashaei Rad et al., 2018).

Countries Occupied
Number of countries occupied by this species based on AntWiki Regional Taxon Lists. In general, fewer countries occupied indicates a narrower range, while more countries indicates a more widespread species. |
Estimated Abundance
Relative abundance based on number of AntMaps records per species (this species within the purple bar). Fewer records (to the left) indicates a less abundant/encountered species while more records (to the right) indicates more abundant/encountered species. |
