This taxon is considered to be unidentifiable and its identity is uncertain. The type series has been collected on Mount Jishi in Gansu, China, at an elevation of 2100 m. The verbal description and figures are insufficient. A possible synonymy with either Lasius coloratus, Lasius sichuense or Lasius longipalpus is suggested by sympatric occurrence, the long maxillary palps and long scape. Types were not available from the Agricultural College of Ningxia University. (Seifert, 2020; Boudinot et al., 2022)
Identification
Change and He (2002) - Similar to Lasius alienus but can be distinguished by the following characteristics: cirrus fine and long, last segment 0.17 - 0.22 , the fifth segment 0.17-0.23 and the fourth segment 0.233-0.233; total body length longer than 3.09; petoile node much thicker; dark brown, antenna, tibia and tarsus of legs yellowish brown.
