This taxon is considered to be unidentifiable and its identity is uncertain. The short description of Forel is contradictory. The name should refer to either Lasius alienus, Lasius psammophilus, Lasius paralienus or setae-reduced specimens of Lasius niger (Seifert, 2020; Boudinot et al., 2022).

Junior synonym of niger: Wilson, 1955a: 59; Kutter, 1977c: 14. Unrecognisable taxon, incertae sedis in Lasius: Seifert, 1992b: 48.
