• In lateral view, scape without erect hairs, hairs appressed (Fig. 2) Lasius humilis, Lasius sitiens

• In lateral view, pronotum with coarse punctation, blunt, erect hairs on the head, thorax and pedicel that are longer, coarser and glistening white in color. (Fig. 1) Leptothorax crassipilis

• In lateral view, pronotom with smooth punctation , (Fig. 2) Leptothorax muscorum
