Identification
Chang and He (2002) - Similar to Cataglyphis aenescens, but the former long hairs on clypeus anterior margin lacking; hairs on gula lacking; mandible teeth very blunt or absent.

Holotype worker, No. 99 - 621 , 10-VI-1999, Mingqing , 1310 m, Gansu Province, coll. CHANG Yourde. Paratypes 4 workers, No. 99 - 187, same colony as holotype. Deposited in Ningxia Agricultural College collection.
