- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: Mozambique: Delagoa Bay (Liengme).
- Type-depository: MHNG.
- Combination in C. (Myrmotrema): Santschi, 1915c: 273.
- Subspecies of foraminosus: Emery, 1896d: 376 (in list).
