- Type-material: holotype worker, 14 paratype workers, 15 paratype queens, 15 paratype males.
- Type-locality: holotype Syria: 15 km. NW Palmyra, 1.v.1974 (Tohmé).
- Type-depository: MNHN.
- Combination in Tanaemyrmex: Tohmé & Tohmé, 2000: 392.
