- subconvexus. Camponotus (Myrmotrema) diplopunctatus subsp. subconvexus Viehmeyer, 1923: 93, fig. 4 (s.w.) SUDAN.
- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: Sudan (“Anglo-Egyptian Sudan”): Sennar, 22.ii.1914 (F. Werner/Ebner).
- Type-depository: MNHU (perhaps also SMTD).
- Subspecies of diplopunctatus: Emery, 1925b: 133; Bolton, 1995b: 125.
- Distribution: Sudan.
