- Type-material: 2 syntype major workers, 1 syntype queen.
- Type-localities: workers Eritrea: Nefasit, 23.viii.-9.ix.1914 (F. Silvestri) (invalid restriction of type-locality by Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 978; no lectotype designated), queen Eritrea: Mayabal, 23.viii.-9.ix.1914 (F. Silvestri).
- Type-depository: MSNG.
