The subfamily placement of this genus is uncertain. It is thought to belong to Aneuretinae but it may belong to Sphecomyrminae (Barden & Grimaldi, 2013). In addition, Lucena & Melo (2018) propose that it most likely belongs to the family Falsiformicidae and is actually not a formicid as originally proposed by Dlussky (1996), a suggestion accepted by LaPolla & Barden (2018).
Identification
As the head is missing from the only known material it is not possible to identify this ant with other sphecomyrmine ants (Dlussky 1996).
Distribution
This taxon is known from Burmese amber, Kachin State, Myanmar (Early Cenomanian, Late Cretaceous).
