Identification
This species resembles Proformica mongolica (see Ruzsky, 1915: 432; Xin, 2015: 116) with antennal scape without setosity but can be distinguished by a smaller body total length, by having different shapes of the head occipital margin (rounded in P. muusensis vs quadrated in P. mongolica), fewer setae in the pronotum and mesonotum longer than wide, much narrower than the pronotum.
