  • marginata. Polyrhachis marginatus Smith, F. 1859a: 139 (w.) INDONESIA (Aru I.). Combination in P. (Chariomyrma): Emery, 1925b: 188. Senior synonym of rotundiceps: Kohout, 1998: 512.
  • rotundiceps. Polyrhachis (Chariomyrma) rotundiceps Karavaiev, 1927e: 18, fig. 9 (w.) INDONESIA (Aru I.). Junior synonym of marginata: Kohout, 1998: 512.

Polyrhachis marginatus

Holotype worker in Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Labelled “Aroo” (= Aru I., New Guinea) and with a Donisthorpe type-label. Other specimens in Oxford University Museum of Natural History are from Batjan I., Wigeo I. and Halmahera; with a specimen of indeterminate locality “T” (= Timor?).
