Identification
A member of the Polyrhachis schnag species group.
Kohout (2008) - Polyrhachis alata differs from the very similar Polyrhachis schang in having higher and more acute dorsolateral mesonotal prominences, higher and longer and more slender petiolar spines, and by its conspicuous bicoloured pattern.
