- Type-material: holotype worker, 8 paratype workers.
- Type-locality: holotype China: Yunnan Prov., Damenlong, 700 m., 12.iv.1957 (D. Panfilov); paratypes: 6 workers with same data, 2 workers Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, 540 m., 16.iv.1957 (G. Hong).
- Type-depository: IZAS.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 297; Zhou & Ran, 2010: 107; Guénard & Dunn, 2012: 60.
- Distribution: China.
