Diagnosis. Santschi (1926). - "I established this subgenus in 1921, but Emery made it the principal form of his sixth group of Myrmamblys, referring to it as the vividus group. I reestablished this subgenus in a note which appeared in the Annals of the Entomological Society of France with an analysis of the species, of which the following are listed: C. arminius Forel (and var. biconstrictus Forel), kollbrunneri Forel, barbarossa Forel (var. sulcatinasis Santschi, micipsa Wheeler), chrysurus Gerstaecker (st. apelis Forel, st. acutisquamis Mayr., var. dotalis Santschi, var. securifer Emery, var. yvonnae Forel), vividus Sm. (var. cato Forel, var. meinerti Forel, var. reginae Forel, var. semidepilis Wheeler)
