    • Type-material: holotype worker, 25 paratype workers, 4 paratype queens.
    • Type-locality: Russia: Caucasus, Krasnodar Krai, Gelendzhik, Dzhankhot, 8.vi.1956 (K.V. Arnol’di).
    • Type-depository: ZMUM.
    • [Note: Arnol’di, 1977a: 198, said that type-material was deposited in ZISP, but Radchenko, 1995c: 16, found it in ZMUM.]
    • Status as species: Arnol'di & Dlussky, 1978: 542 (in key); Arakelian, 1994: 57.
    • Junior synonym of tauricus: Radchenko, 1994d: 157 (in key); Bolton, 1995b: 243; Radchenko, 1995c: 16; Radchenko, 2016: 228.
