Lasius pannonicus Röszler, 1942 |
This taxon is considered to be unidentifiable and its identity is uncertain. The description of this ant, found in dense shady woodland near Budafok, Hungary, should refer to the subgenus Lasius s.str. but further conclusions are not possible. The whole text appears to be a mixture of fantasy and imprudent statements. I have never seen an ant combining the reported life-style, habitat selection and morphology (Seifert, 2020; Boudinot et al., 2022).
