Lasius nigerrimus (Christ, 1791) |
This taxon is considered to be unidentifiable and its identity is uncertain. The description reports nothing but body length, color and occurrence in gardens and could refer to either a Lasius s.str. or a Tapinoma species. Christ's paper considers ants on a worldwide scale but he gave no collecting locality for this species. Supposing that he meant a German garden, there is some likelihood for a synonymy with Lasius niger (Seifert, 2020; Boudinot et al., 2022).
