Description
Worker
Seifert (2020) - Among the Himalayan-Tibetan species it is easily identified as a combination of very long scape (SL/CS900 1.022), extremely long gular pilosity (GuHL/CS900 0.154), and very high seta counts on genae (nGen900 19.9), underside of head (nGu900 19.2) and hind tibiae (nHT900 31.2). Coloration: Dorsum of head blackish brown; genae and clypeus medium brown; mandibles and head capsule at mandibular angles yellowish; mesosoma, femora and tibiae medium brown; tibio-femoral and tibio-metatarsal joints and antennae yellowish.
See table 9 in Seifert 2020 for additional morphometrics. The abbreviated names of various quantitative data shown above are defined here: Seifert 2020 Lasius characters.
