The following information is derived from Barry Bolton's Online Catalogue of the Ants of the World.
- conica. Formica conica Fabricius, 1798: 279 (m.) INDIA. Unidentifiable to genus; incertae sedis in Formica: Bolton, 1995b: 193. [Dalla Torre, 1893: 183 places this in Lasius, which is certainly incorrect. Forel, 1905b: 161 suggests that it may be the male of Camponotus compressus, but there is little in the original description to confirm this.]
