- Type-material: syntype major workers (number not stated).
- Type-locality: New Caledonia: Ouedjo I., nr Hienghiène (F. Sarasin & J. Roux).
- [Note: Emery, 1914f: 428, dubiously associates a single minor worker (in poor condition) from New Caledonia: Canala (F. Sarasin & J. Roux), with the major workers.]
- Type-depository: MSNG.
