Little known, nests were found under stones inside a deciduous, oak forest surrounded by a grazing area. All collecting sites were in alpine zone, from 1738 to 1886 m a.s.l.

- bazoftensis. Cataglyphis bazoftensis Khalili-Moghadam, et al. 2021: 6, figs. 1-8, 27 (w.) IRAN.
- Type-material: holotype major worker, 19 paratype major workers, 4 paratype media workers, 13 paratype minor workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Iran: Chaharmahal Va, Bakhtiari, Koohrang (Bazoft), 32.2969, 49.9358, 1754 m., 1.vii.2017 (A. Khalili-Moghadam); paratypes: 12 major, 2 media, 9 minor workers with same data, 3 major, 2 media, 4 minor workers with same data but 1798 m., 3 major workers with same data but 1886 m., 1 major worker with same data but 1738 m.
- Type-depositories: MNHW (holotype); MHNG, MNHW, USMB (paratypes).
- Distribution: Iran.
