- Type-material: 8 syntype major and minor workers.
- Type-locality: Chad: SE bank Lake Chad, Pol (Mission Tilho), 1910 (Gallard).
- Type-depository: MNHN (perhaps also MHNB).
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 127.
- Distribution: Chad.
