    • Type-locality: Sri Lanka (“Ceylon”): (no further data but probably Ambalangoda), 1908-09 (E. & I. Bugnion).
    • Type-depository: MHNG.
    • Combination in C. (Tanaemyrmex): Emery, 1925b: 92.
    • Subspecies of maculatus: Forel, 1912n: 63.
