    • Type-localities: Peru: Marcapata (from Staudinger & Bang-Haas) (invalid restriction of type-locality by Kempf, 1972a: 57; no lectotype designated), Peru: Pachitea (no collector’s name) (from Staudinger & Bang-Haas), Bolivia: Mapiri (no collector’s name) (from Staudinger & Bang-Haas).
    • Type-depository: MSNG.
    • Combination in C. (Myrmomalis): Forel, 1914a: 271.
    • Status as species: Emery, 1925b: 169; Kempf, 1972a: 57; Bolton, 1995b: 115; Bezděčková, et al. 2015: 113.
