- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers, syntype queens, syntype males (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: Namibia: Prince of Wales Bay, S Lüderitzbucht (L. Schultze) (invalid restriction of type-locality by Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 988; no lectotype designated), 1 queen South Africa: Cape Prov., “Klein Namaland”, Steinkopf (L. Schultze).
