- melinus. Camponotus (Myrmentoma) melinus Mackay, W.P., in Mackay & Mackay, 1997b: 326, figs. 1, 2, 7 (s.w.) MEXICO (Morelos).
- Type-material: holotype major worker, 13 paratype major and minor workers.
- Type-locality: holotype Mexico: Morelos (nr Cuernavaca), 15 mi. S El Guarda, 19°09’N, 99°11’W, 14.xi.1946 (W.S. Ross); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depositories: CASC (holotype); CASC, LACM, MCZC, UNAM, USNM, WEMC (paratypes).
- Combination in C. (Myrmentoma): Mackay & Mackay, 2018: 24.
- Status as species: McArthur, 2012: 164.
