- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: Malaysia: Malacca, Maxwell’s Hill, nr Taiping, 2.ii.-15.iii.1912 (H. von Buttel-Reepen).
- Type-depository: MHNG.
