- Type-material: 6 syntype major workers, 17 syntype minor workers, 6 syntype queens, 4 syntype males.
- Type-locality: Ecuador: Galapagos Is, Duncan I. (= Pinzón I.), 13-14.viii.1906 (F.X. Williams).
- Type-depositories: CASC, MCZC.
