- altinotus. Camponotus (Pseudocolobopsis) macilentus var. altinota Stitz, 1932a: 370, fig. 3 (s. or q. (?), w.) ECUADOR (Galapagos Is).
- Type-material: 1 syntype major worker or queen, 1 syntype minor worker.
- [Note: symbol in text is an inverted “female” sign; it is unclear if this signifies major worker or queen. Fig. 3 is of a minor worker.]
- Type-locality: Ecuador: Galapagos Is, Floreana I., Postoffice Bay, 4.xi.1925 (A. Wollebaek’s Norwegian Zoological Expd.) (no collector’s name).
- Type-depository: MNHU (perhaps also NNHM).
- Subspecies of macilentus: Linsley & Usinger, 1966: 176; Kempf, 1972a: 63; Bolton, 1995b: 85; Herrera, Tocora, et al. 2024: 164.
