    • Type-locality: Cuba: Santa Clara Prov., Trinidad Mts, Buenos Aires, 2500-3500 ft, 9-11.v.1936 (P.J. Darlington).
    • Type-depository: MCZC.
    • Subspecies of gilviventris: Kempf, 1972a: 49; Alayo, 1974: 45; Bolton, 1995b: 120.
    • Distribution: Cuba.
