- Type-material: 1 syntype major worker, 2 syntype minor workers.
- Type-locality: major Indonesia: Aru Is, Wammar I., 10.iii.1913, no. 3884 (W. Karawajew), minors with same data but 8.iii.1913, no. 2554.
- Type-depository: unknown (not in SIZK (Radchenko, Fisher, et al. 2023: 10)).
- Status as species: Chapman & Capco, 1951: 231; Bolton, 1995b: 102; McArthur, 2012: 208.
- Distribution: Indonesia (Aru).
