- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers (numbers not stated), 1 syntype queen.
- Type-localities: Zimbabwe (“S Rhodesia”): Bulawayo, Hillside (G. Arnold), Zimbabwe: Nyamandhlovu (G. Arnold).
- Type-depository: SAMC (perhaps also BMNH).
- Combination in C. (Myrmamblys): Emery, 1925b: 140;
- combination in C. (Myrmespera): Santschi, 1926c: 604.
