  • samarus. Camponotus (Myrmotarsus) barbatus var. samarus Santschi, 1932b: 19, fig. 4 (q.) BORNEO (Indonesia: Kalimantan).
    • Type-material: holotype queen.
    • Type-locality: Indonesia: Kalimantan, Samarinda, 8.ii.1929 (Voyage Prince & Princesse Léopold of Belgium) (no collector’s name).
    • Type-depository: unknown (perhaps MRHN or NHMB).
    • Subspecies of barbatus: Chapman & Capco, 1951: 243; Bolton, 1995b: 122; Pfeiffer, et al. 2011: 36.
    • Distribution: Indonesia (Kalimantan).
