- Type-material: holotype queen.
- Type-locality: Brazil: Paraná, Rio Negro (Reichensperger).
- Type-depository: NHMB.
- [Note: Brown, 1965c: 76 says, “Location of type unknown (not in Santschi collection)”. However, Baroni Urbani, 1973b: 128, records the holotype in NHMB.]
- Status as species: Brown, 1965c: 76; Kempf, 1972a: 256; Bolton, 1995b: 422; Feitosa, 2015c: 98; Camacho, Franco, Branstetter, et al. 2022: 12.
