- brachyptera. Syscia brachyptera Longino & Branstetter, 2021: 22, fig. 9 (w.q.) HONDURAS.
- Type-material: holotype worker, paratype workers, paratype queens (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: holotype Honduras: Comayagua, PN Cerro Azul Meambar, 14.87045, -87.90567 ±70 m., 750 m., 21.v.2010, montane rainforest, sifted leaf litter (LLAMA, Wm-C-04-2-02); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depositories: CASC (holotype); CASC, DZUP, JTLC, MCZC, UNAM, UCDC, USNM (paratypes).
- Distribution: Honduras.
