Identification

Distribution

The record of S. cheliferus from China is very improbable. This species is known only from southern Ukraine and belongs to the huberi species-group. We suppose that its record from China might belong to S. koreanus or to S. dao. Hence, we propose to remove S. cheliferus from the list of Chinese ants. (Rachenko et al., 2017)
