- Type-material: holotype worker, 1 paratype worker.
- Type-locality: holotype Russia: Kuril Is, Kunashir I., nr Lake Goryacheg, viii.1974 (A.L. Tichomirova); paratype with same data.
- Type-depository: ZMUM.
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 393; DuBois, 1998b: 296 (redescription); Liu, X. & Xu, 2011: 739 (in key); Bharti, Gul & Sharma, 2012a: 329 (in key).
