- Type-locality: Kenya (“Afrique orientale anglaise”): Kikuyu territory, Blue Post Hotel, st. no. 29, 1550 m., i.1912 (Ch. Alluaud & R. Jeannel).
- Type-depository: NHMB.
- Subspecies of fugax: Ettershank, 1966: 139 (error).
