Research and Conservation Interests: Insect taxonomy, ecology and conservation - revitalising insect taxonomy by rightly marrying conventional taxonomy to the modern techniques and linking these efforts to conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. -understanding the impacts of various ecosystem processes on insect diversity, in order to define conservation plans to the benefits of insect diversity. - ‘Conservation bio-control’: An ecological and practical approach to the management of crop arthropod pests by careful landscaping and scientific manipulation of uncultivated vegetation in agro-ecosystems.
