- Type-material: holotype worker, 18 paratype workers, 11 paratype queens, 2 paratype males.
- Type-locality: holotype Cameroon: Yaoundé, University Campus, 15.ii.1974, nest UF (G. Terron); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depositories: CIRA (holotype); BMNH, MHNG, MNHN, NHMB (paratypes).
- Status as species: Bolton, 1995b: 365.
- Distribution: Cameroon.
