Genus: Plagiolepis
Species: P. regis
Binomial name
Plagiolepis regis
Karavaiev, 1931

This species has been considered to be an inquiline but no specific details, including the host, are known. Its status as an inquiline seems to be based on its morphological similarity to Plagiolepis ampeloni, a known workerless inquiline. However, P. regis differs from P. ampeloni having a worker caste. Whether it is truly an inquiline or is free-living remains an open question until nests can be examined.
