- Type-material: holotype worker, paratype workers (number not stated, “numerous”).
- Type-locality: holotype Zimbabwe (“S Rhodesia”): Vumba Mts, 5000 ft (G. Arnold); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depositories: SAMC (holotype); BMNH, SAMC (paratypes).
- Combination in Parasyscia: Borowiec, M.L. 2016: 205.
- Status as species: Brown, 1975: 23; Bolton, 1995b: 145.
- Distribution: Zimbabwe.
