- Type-material: holotype worker, 1 paratype worker.
- Type-locality: holotype Papua New Guinea: Lower Busu River, nr Lae, 28.iv.1955, no. 884 (E.O. Wilson); paratype with same data but 3.v.1955, no. 914.
- Type-depository: MCZC.
- Combination in Parasyscia: Borowiec, M.L. 2016: 205.
- Status as species: Brown, 1975: 23; Bolton, 1995b: 145.
