- Type-material: holotype male, 4 paratype males.
- Type-locality: holotype Mexico: Veracruz, Córdoba, 6-9.xi.1966 (A.B. Lau); paratypes with same data.
- Type-depository: USNM.
- Status as species: Watkins, 1976: 22 (in key); Watkins, 1982: 215 (in key); Brandão, 1991: 359; Bolton, 1995b: 287.
