  • dichrous. Meranoplus dichrous Forel, 1907h: 274 (q.) AUSTRALIA (Western Australia).
    • Type-material: holotype queen.
    • Type-locality: Australia: Western Australia, Yalgoo, 1905 (W. Michaelsen & R. Hartmeyer).
    • Type-depository: unknown (probably destroyed).
    • [Note: Taylor, 1990c: 33, writes that the “holotype cannot be found in any major European ant collection. It was probably returned to Hamburg by Forel and destroyed there during World War II. This species inquirenda will presumably remain unrecognisable.”]
    • Status as species: Emery, 1924d: 229; Taylor & Brown, 1985: 66; Taylor, 1987a: 38.
    • Unidentifiable taxon, incertae sedis in Meranoplus: Taylor, 1990c: 33; Bolton, 1995b: 251.
    • Distribution: Australia.
